Skirt tutorial !

So this is the tutorial for the skirt. It's really easy and shouldn't take more than an hour.

First you need some fabric and sharp scissors.

When measuring your fabric, keep in mind two things: the longer the fabric is, the puffier the skirt will be; and the wider it is, the longer. Don't forget the extra room for the waistband!

Baste all the sides of the fabric.

Measure the width of your waistband and baste the upper side of the fabric accordingly. Then sew it.

Using a safety pin, insert the waistband. Adjust the lenght of your waistband according to your waist - cut off the extra part and sew the two sides together.

And voilà !

Afraid of god and modern science.

I've been so busy with school lately that i haven't had the time to update my blog.. or do anything else for that matter. And for those of you that don't know, I'm a third year student in Tartu Art School and I'm studying graphic design, so i have plenty of schoolwork all year round. But it's finally spring break ! Yay! So I'll be chillaxing and doing all that fun jazz, that i've been missing out on. That means a lot of bloggig, photographing and drawing. Plus i have tons of ideas for some new stop-motion animations etc.

Uuh and I finally ordered the wireless remote control for my camera ! So taking pictures is going to be a lot easier from now on. win!

Why does karma hate me ?
In addition to all the other things that are not going as planned, I had to discover a giant leak in my room when i came home yesterday. All of my clothes where wet, plus my jewelery.. and the floor..and everything else.
Since things are obviously not going too well for me at the moment, I decided to do something motivational and play around with my breakfast. And here it is, a little stop-motion. Enjoy!

Oh, and today was such a great day. It was sunny and warm and I found some frozen strawberries in the refrigerator. Win !
I made this skirt way back in summer. Unfortunately I can't really wear it because it's a bit too short. Wouldn't wanna flash anyone. God knows it wouldn't be the first time :D

We wear our scarves just like a noose.

I really realllllyy love my hoodie scarf, it's just so warm and cosy, and i wear it almost every day.
Oh and I decided to add a grey ribbon so that it wouldn't be so loose. Success!
These zigzag tights are from www.welovecolors.com and they arrived some time ago. I was so happy to get the package. And I want to do a fantasy-type photoshoot with these, using mirrors and masks and all that jazz, but the weather is impossible. Insanely cold and dark. Can't wait fot the winter to be over.
