Make it work!

Ah it's finally Sunday, the day of sleep and rest and all that fun jazz.. well for other people at least. I'm about to finish my morning coffee and head back to school. Because whether I like it or not it seems like the end of spring semester is about to rear it's ugly head with all the glorious exams and evaluations. And as usual I have tons and tons of work ahead of me. But to prove myself that I can learn from my mistakes I've decided to take it easy this time. Being a bit of an overachiever by nature I tend to over work and think and worry. And just to spare myself from the usual horror that comes with midterms, I've decided to put all my creative energy into projects that I actually find inspiring and just kick back and enjoy the work process, rather than just worry about the outcome. Besides there is no better feeling in the world than to see your tiny pod of an idea or a sketch on a paper grow into an actual thing. So here's a selection of photographs I've taken over the past few weeks. I've spent most of my time at school and been quite the regular at our beloved fabric store. They must think I'm dressing an army. Well, close enough. But I'm going to let you enjoy the pictures now, I hope you like them and be sure to tell me what you think :)

Lõpuks ometi pühapäev, aeg puhkamiseks ja mängimiseks. Mina, aga lõpetan siin vaikselt oma hommikukohvi ja lippan mängleva kergusega taakord kooli. Hah, no tegelikult mänglevast kergusest siin küll rääkida ei saa, aga tahan ma või ei, siis paratamatult hakkab kätte jõudma kevadine eksamiterror ja hindamiste laviin, ja ühtlasi ka otsa tiksuma teine aasta kunstiakadeemias. See viimane lõpuspurt on alati kõige hullem. Veel viimane mägi vaja ületada ja siis on tehtud. Ha, aga minul jookseb just kevadistel tõmblemistel(loe: hindamistel) kett maha ja siis vea seda õlist rattakolakat käe kõrval, kuni käed on villis ja põlved sinised. Et seekord sellist ebameeldivat ületöötamist vältida, lükkan juba heaga kerge käigu sisse ja võtan aega, et nautida tööprotsessi, selle asemel, et tulemuse pärast muretseda. Ei ole ju mitte midagi mõnusamat kui näha kuidas väikesest ideebeebist või kritseldusest paberinurgal saab päris asi. Vot, ja nüüd ongi teie ees valik pildikesi, mis olen viimase paari nädala jooksul üles pildistanud. Enamus aega on möödunu koolis ja Abakhanis olen ka juba täitsa oma jope. Lustisin vist kõige jubedamate kangaste korvis ja leidsin mingid kummalised kunstnaha, vakstu ja selle pehme tapeedi vahepealset, mida kunagi armastati wc seintele toppida. Aga nendest esmapilgul kahtlastest kangajuppidest said täitsa toredad lillejakkide maketid. Lasengi teid nüüd pilte uudistama ja nagu ikka - olge tublid, mu hiirekesed :)
